what is the best youth snowboard?
my 11 year old is pretty good at snowwboarding, mostly goes in Aspen/Snowmass. What is the best board?
My kids have riden K2 and Ride boards and we have been very happy with them. My oldest son’s Ride board even has a “sintered” base which makes it much harder to scratch.
Of course there are other good brands, but I personally would just look for one with plenty of flex, a good FULL metal edge (even at the tip and tail) to protect the board and find one that has a good price. At 11 years old, they are only going to ride it 1 or 2 seasons before they outgrow it.
I bought better boards because my kids are 2 years apart and the board gets handed down every two years so they have to last 4 seasons.
Have you thought about season rental until the child learns what he/she likes?
Good luck
